DERBY - CRYSTAL PALACE  PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Derby have hit a wall of late with a poor run of results, no win in 5 has seen their outside chance of a playoff place all but evaporating.  Derby are poor on the road and with three quarters of their points won at home they were always going to struggle to make the top six. They have 11 wins, 11 draws and 12 defeats overall, a record which sees them eight points behind the playoff zone (although they have played a game more) and nine points above the drop zone.  Striker Theo Robinson has left for Huddersfield but Chris Martin has come in from Norwich, so a like for like swap quality-wise. Derby have Gareth Taylor and Jake Buxton back to shore up the leaky defence.

Crystal Palace excellent run of form took a knock as they were beaten by resurgent Sheffield Wednesday.  The Eagles had Zaha missing and they did not look at the races. They still sit in 4th position though and all is not lost. With an overall record of 16 wins, 10 draws and 8 losses they are 4 points behind Watford in 2nd.  Zaha will return for the game but Joel Ward, Danny Gabbidon, Andre Moritz, Owen Garvan and Paddy McCarth all sit out. Palace do have a strong squad mind but any more knocks and that will be tested.

Crystal Palace are taken here, with the return of key man Zaha The Eagles will be boosted. Derby are in a rotten run of form, they have many injuries to the defensive players and for the 1st time in over a month they will have their regular backline back. However for me the damage is already done confidence wise and with yet more changes to the defense there is very little continuity going on and this will also affect The Rams. Palace with maximum motivation to pick up points too while Derby are going nowhere as they are stuck midtable.
