Ipswich moved 5 points clear of the relegation zone with another fine victory. An away tie at Bolton was a game nobody gave them a chance in. One goal down with 20 minutes remaining it didn't look good,however the extremely potent front pair Michael Chopra and DJ Campbell had other ideas. A goal a piece gave Mick McCarthy all three points and a satisfying win on the road. Bolton had the better of the play for the majority of the game but Ipswich were clincial when it mattered. With the frontline pair of Campbell and Chopra firing Ipswich have serious attacking potential, Tyrone Barnett is also in the mix and it's a lively attack for sure. Ipswich just need to try and shore up the back as they are still conceding goals.
Millwall continued their amazing unbeaten run with a 0-0 draw at home to Charlton. It says's it all for Kenny Jackett and his men that this was considered a bad result. They have come so far since the early season losing run and look a quality team now. The Charlton game was a stalemate and both sides played some decent football, however clear cut chances were few and far between. Millwall bosses the possessin stats but they lacked any creative spark. Jackett will be pleased to see the return from injury of three big players, James Henry, Darius Henderson and Liam Trotter are all fit and should be playing a part soon.
