Gameday 2 in England Championship, we have a meeting between Leeds and Middlesbrough. Leeds were soundly beaten by low rated Millwall side 2-0 on opening day. Leeds were abysmal then and never looked threatening at all. Only the introduction of man mountain Matt Smith brought and danger and that when they turned to lumping it up. Middlebrough in contrast opened up with a solid 2-0 win over Birmingham. They looked solid in all areas and it was a great start, albeit against another side expected to struggle. Boro have new signings Damia Abella and Adam Clayton available here. Ben Gibson will sit out injured but coach Karanka has many options with Seb Hines moving from left back and Woodgate, Ayala and Omeruo fighting for a place. Leeds have Gaetano Beradi suspended after a needless red in injury time of Accrington game.
Two games so far for Boro and two wins with 5 goals score and none conceded. Leeds looked poor in the opening Championship game but did beat League 2 side Accrington. Boro are streets ahead of Accrington though and I see them as a live bet to take the title. They look so strong defensively they will see off a lot of sides for sure.
