MIDDLESBOROUGH - BIRMINGHAM PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Middlesborough are on  a hideous run of form and are now struggling to keep up with the teams around them. Boro have only won twice in the last twelves games, worse still they have lost nine of those matches. A terrible run that started on New Years day and has saw the North East side drop from 2nd to 9th. They have 54 points and are 3 behind Nottingham Forest in the last playoff place. With a record of 17 wins, 3 draws and 17 losses they have lost more games than every side apart from the bottom three. Boro have no new injury worries and hope to have Jonathon Woodgate fit and ready to play.

Birmingham are in their best form of the season and it has come at just the right time for them. Just one defeat in five has moved them out of danger but they must not get too complacent. They have 11 wins, 13 draws and 13 losses and sit in 14th position. Marlon King is out for the season but Birmingham seemed to have adapted to playing without him.

Middlesbrough are backed to grab a priceless three points and stop the rot. Boro have the same squad of players that performed so well before the new year they just seem bereft of confidence. Birmingham are in ok form but are a very brittle side and with them tucked up in midtable they may become complacent. Boro are going to have to play with maximum intensity and only wins will suffice now. 2.10 on the home side seems a great price considering the quality gap between the two sides.
