Middlesbrough have hit a strange patch of form of late with 2 wins and 3 losses in the last five games. They seem to be struggling away from home too. At The Riverside Boro have won 7 of their 10 matches and do look very strong, I think that Boro could have a bit of a hangover from their midweek Capital One cup loss at Swansea. They really gave their all and looked out on their feet at the end. Last time out in the league they nearly threw away a 2 goal lead at lowly Peterborough before grabbing a late winner. They didn't play all that well in truth but Peterborough are a poor side. Boro have some injury problems with Grant Leadbitter, Faris Haroun and Andre Bikey all taking late fitness tests. Two players have returned from injury :Andy Halliday and Seb Hines while On-loan midfielder Josh McEachran returns to the squad after being ineligible. Jonathan Woodgate is at full fitness and should slot back into the side.
Wolverhampton ended their poor run with back to back wins. Taking the three points from Bristol City and local rivals Birmingham with two decent perfomances. They looked lively and played some nice football. The return from injury and suspension of a few key players was instrumental for Wolves. Club captain Karl Henry is integral to their game and was immense. Ebanks – Blake returned and he too is a decent players. Wolves do still have a long injury list and Solbakken will hope he still remains in a job so he can strengthen come January transfer window. Solbakken has no new injury worries as he seeks a third successive win.
