WATFORD – NOTTINGHAM F.: PREDICTIONS

Top of the table clash between two of the best sides in the league, Its Watford v Nottingham at Vicarage Road.

Watford are one of the strongest outfits in the league and have a real continental flavour. So far this season they are unbeaten in 4 with 3 wins and 1 draw. Key striker Troy Deeney has 5 in the 1^st 3 league games and looks likely to terrorise Championship defences again this season. A huge worry for Watford is the amount of teams in The Premiership looking at him. Gianfranco Zola will be a happy man if no one comes calling  before deadline day.  Defenders Nyron Nosworthy and Tommie Hoban miss out but two fit again backmen are recalled to the squad in Marco Cassetti and Joel Ekstrand.

Nottingham have had a fairly difficult opening period but have been rock solid in gaining three straight league wins and 1 league cup win. Yet to concede in The Championship is a testament to Billy Davies men as they have faced Bolton, Huddersfield and Blackburn.  Great news for The Tricky Trees as dual strikers Simon Cox and Darius Henderson are fit again and give extra options while new boy Djamel Abdoun could come in for his full debut.

This game looks very likely to be a close game for me. Watford are strong favourites but Nottingham are a lot better than the odds suggest.  Forest are solid defensively but with the return of two prolific strikers in Cox and Henderson the permutations up front are endless.
