WOLVERHAMPTON - BLACKPOOL PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Wolverhampton are not clear of relegation and although two draws stops the rot a little Wolves really need to pick up a few wins. They have yet to win in 6 games and new coach Dean Saunders has had little effect. His squad has been pared down to such an extent but its still packed with class, a hardworking unit but one that has not been able to compete with the top sides. Wolves have 9 wins, 6 draw and 13 losses. Jamie O'Hara is likely to make his first start after a lengthy lay off, the former Spurs man has looked good over the last few weeks in a series of cameos. Wolves hope to have completed the signing of solid left back Stephen Warnock in time for this match, a quality addition.

Blackpool are onto manager number three after a rollercoaster season. Problems are afoot on the Golden Mile and behind the scenes there are a number of cash related issues. Both Ian Holloway and Michael Appleton were exposed to the limited budget and both decided to move on.  Blackpool are on a poor run, no wins in nine matches is not good enough. With only 8 wins in the season so far and 10 each of draw and losses, Blackpool are in for further struggles. They should survive though as their are too many poorer teams below them.  It looks only a matter of time before Tom Ince departs and if past sales are anything to go by little money will be re-invested.

Blackpool are favourites here, generally around the 2.55 area and indeed shortening in places.   However this is madness, Wolves are superior to Blackpool in first eleven for sure. New coach Saunders is slowly re-organising the side and I feel they have the better of a poor Blackpool side. To find the home side outsiders against a team that are 1 point ahead of them ridiculous. Wolves are one of the better bets of the weekend.
