A very tough game this one for the home side. Coupled with money going onto Torquay the signs point to an away win. However for me Macclesfield are an outside bet for at least a playoff place. Their home form is astounding so far. They are currently on a 9 game unbeaten league run that stretches back to late September (4 wins and 4 draw – with the wins at home and the draws away!) their home form is brilliant. All season they have still to be beaten – winning 7 and drawing 4. Torquay are a bit of a talking team lately but they are still below todays hosts. 4 points behind Macclesfield. Away form for them sees 4 wins, 1draw and 5 losses. Recent form sees just 1 win in 6 (2 draws and 3 losses) – for me the odds are more on the reputation of Torquay.
The home side are performing solidly at home and go into this one in fine form. Torquay have one win in six and go into this as clear favourites. Odds are too short on the visitors here and bookmakers give them too much respect. I take 0.25+ on Macclesfield at 1.87 with betvictor.
