All Premiership tie at Emirates as Arsenal host Sunderland. Looking at both managers’ pre match talk it looks like both will take this seriously but I always doubt Sam Allardyce in cups as he is always putting them on the back burner. With Sunderland battling relegation he doesn’t want anything to get in the way. In EPL Arsenal are top of the pile with 42 points from 20 games, 27 ahead of Sunderland. These sides have met already only a month ago and Arsenal prevailed 3-1. Recent form sees 6 wins from 7 (1 loss) for Arsenal and 2 wins from 7 (5 losses) for Sunderland. Arsenal will miss Sanchez, Cazorla and Rosicky still but will have Arteta back. Sunderland are without Coates and Kaboul.
Odds are short on Arsenal as Sunderland generally capitulates against them. Big Sam is not a lover of the cups at all and especially when he is fighting relegation. I take an easy Gunners win.
