I think the gap between Championship and Premiership is widening year on year and Blackburn are several levels of class below Stoke. To see outright odds of 6-4 on Stoke is amazing. A huge price for me, im taking the -0.25 handicap for the slight insurance. Blackburn are in 9th position with 42 points from their 30 games. Recent form for them sees 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. Stoke are plodding along in the Prem, as they occupy 10th position. Mark Hughes has amended their style of play somewhat. They are less of a wrecking ball outfit now and do play better football. Their recent form sees 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.
Blackburn would not be this short against the likes of Bournemouth or Derby so it’s a bit strange to see them at this price against Stoke. Bookmakers must be of the opinion that Stoke maybe don’t fancy it but not me. I believe the 6-4 is tremendous value – we take the -0.25 at 11-10 which again is massive. I wouldn’t be far off 11-10 on Stoke for the win on this match.
