BRENTFORD V CHELSEA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Brentford have had an excellent year so far and are 3^rd in League 1 with 50 points from 28 games.  They are 6 points off the automatic promotion places so will need to keep winning if they want to avoid the lottery of the playoffs.  Their recent form has seen 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 5 and they’ll need to improve that to keep their position.

Chelsea are 3^rd in the EPL with 45 points from 23 games.  They are 11 points off the league leaders Manchester United but have a 7 point lead over 5^th place Everton.  They’ll feel a top 4 finish and Champions League football is their best finish possible this year.

BRENTFORD V CHELSEA PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

Chelsea have been disappointing in every competition this year having lost the Super Cup, Club World Cup, being out of the Champions League and well off the top in the Premier League.  This, along with the Europa League, may be their only chance of a trophy this year so they’ll be working hard to get through.

Brentford are going through a poor run at the moment and will know they need to get back on track to stabilize their promotion push.  The visit of the European Champions will give them a big boost and everyone at the club will be up for it.

I can’t see Chelsea slipping up here despite their disappointing midweek result at Swansea. 

I’ll be backing a Chelsea win at 1.30 with Stan James.
