Derby are chasing the Prem and their definitely a case for them having eyes on the big prize and not this  game. However they do have a massive squad and some serious quality on the benches – even for championship quality. They are currently 4^th  of the 2^nd tier with a deficit of 3 points but they do have a game in hand. Recent form for them shows 4 win and 1 loss in last 5. They will rotate as said here but they are bringing in the likes of Darren Bent, Lee Naylor and Ryan Shotton, midfielders Jeff Hendrick, Simon Dawkins and Ivan Calero and strikers Mason Bennett all coming in. With new signings Stephen Warnock and Raul Albentosa likely to figure -  All proven at this level anyway and a sure step up from League 1. I always like the fringe guys coming in for situations like this – they give a proper game and have more desire. Chesterfield of League 1 are in 8^th with 35 points, If they were in the Champs with this current squad I couldn’t see them above 20^th. Recent form for them sees 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is ineligible and Gary Roberts is injured.

I think Derby are more than capable of grabbing an easy win here. There has been a move for Chesterfield but don’t be put off by that. McClaren already signaled his intent to rotate but they have a lot of depth. I think they are a good bet at a now enhanced price.
