Liverpool have had their best league season to date since the heady days of Benitez and their 2^nd place finish. For this game I expect some wholesale changes as Rogers rests his men after a grueling Christmas period. I expect the likes of Moses, Aspas and Alberto to come in. Steven Gerrard should start here though as he steps up his fitness after returning recently after injury. Liverpool will miss Johnson, Sakho, Allen and Sturridge. I would be surprised to see Suarez play as he has had a long stint of starting so may be given a break. Oldham of League 1 sit in 19^th position after 6 wins from 23 games. They are in the relegation battle of that division after a poor season so far.  Indeed Oldham have not won in the league since November.

I don’t see the skipper sitting this one out as he is keen to regain his sharpness after a spell on the sidelines. Steven Gerrard has scored 3 in 15 goals this season but his return here will see a good chance to net again. He will be back on penalties too so with a high goal expectancy for Liverpool he should be amongst the goals.
