SUNDERLAND v SOUTHAMPTON 1x2 BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS
Last 16 of the FA cup and 2 sides in a bit of form meet at Stadium of Light. At this stage of the season both sides have to be going for the win. Sunderland have really picked up under Gus Poyet but a few recent losses mean they have slipped back down the table. Sunderland already have one visit to Wembley with a Capital One Cup against Man City. Southampton have recovered from their midseason blip and seem back on an even keel. The Osvaldo experiment never worked and they wasted no time shipping him off to Juventus. Saints have not lost in 8 games now with 5 wins and 3 losses.
I am thinking Sundeland may actually go into this game not at 100% - They have dropped back down the league in recent weeks and find themselves back in the bottom three. Fans will be glad of the trip to Wembley already and these extra FA Cup games will impede their fight for survival. Im siding with Southampton here who do look back to their best. At full strength they will have too much for a Sunderland side that I believe will be rotated.
