One question you always have to ask when approaching the cups is which sides want it and which sides are more interested in the league. In this case  its Watford who you would say don’t hold too much stock in qualifying. They were strongly fancied for the league this year but it has not really taken off for them. They side way off the pace down in 15^th with 7 wins, 9 draws and 8 defeats.  Just one win in 14 games is a ridiculous statistic and shows you how difficult the Championship is.  Two players back for Watford are keeper John Bond and Ikeche Anya. However new signings Hector Bellerin, Alexander Merkel and Mathias Ranegie have not been given permission to play in the cup. Hoban and Cassetti miss out injured. Bristol City of England League One will sense an upset here and even though they are in pretty poor form they can upset the odds. They are in 23^rd with just 4 wins all season but they are drawing loads with the highest % of draws in the league with 11. Recent form shows some improvement too with a 5 game unbeaten run which the best of their season. Gillett is not eligible but Bristol hope to have key defender Derrick Williams back from injury.

Nothing separated these side at Ashton Gate last week and a 1-1 draw was a fair result. Higher division Watford are severely lacking confidence and an inform Bristol City can get something here. This could go into extra time and penalties for me and Bristol City are the value selection to qualify.
