Gameday 2 in England League 1, we have a meeting between Coventry and Sheffield United. Coventry are no longer allowed to play at their ‘own’ stadium so this game is at neutral Sixsmiths Stadium, Northampton. Coventry have opened up with two games and two defeats. They have lost to Cardiff in the cup and Bradford in the 1^st league game. Coventry looked poor in all areas especially defence and will struggle this season. Sheffield United did lose their opening league game, going down 2-1 at home to Bristol City but they did grab a win in midweek against lower league Mansfield. United coach Nigel Clough has seen his preparations for the league affected by a fair few injuries to his squad. For this game though Stefan Scougall and Craig Alcock will return. Jamal Campbell-Ryce has been ruled out. Coventry miss key player Danny Pugh while lynchpin and captain Reda Johnson is a big doubt. If he misses the game the 2.50 (6/4) on Sheffield United will be an immense price.

The signs are there for Sheffield United, they have a decent squad at this level and when fully fit they will be a lively side. They have goal machine Micheal Higdon upfront, a striker I expect to see score for fun at this level and move on up to the Championship either January or next season. A few key injuries for already wafer thin squad of Coventry. I will be keeping an eye on the Reda Johnson situation as he is crucial to any hope Coventry have of competing.
