Port Vale have had an unbeaten opening to the season with 2 wins and 2 draws with 11 goals scored and 5 conceded. Port Vale have no new injury worries and in fact have a bustling squad with Colin Daniel now available too. New signing Byron Moore is close to a debut also as he returns from compassionate leave. Form has been good so far so Micky Adams has not had reason to change much but he does have many options on the bench. Notts County have won 1, lost 2 and drew 1 of four opening games. County will be without defender Cieron Keane and midfielder Nicky Wroe through suspension. Injury problems too with Garry Thompson, Kyle Dixon,Blair Adams, and Alan Smith out.
Two sides around the same level for me but Port Vale ahead slightly. With the pair of starters suspended plus the injury problems elsewhere I side with Vale. They have yet to taste defeat this season and in Tom Pope and Billy Williamson have a real goal threat.
