Sheffield United started badly and never got going until the last few games. Nigel Clough will have rued the international break as he seemed to have got his side firing. After a winless start that lasted three games they stepped up with a couple of wins. Defeating table topping Peterborough, a decent Crawley side and a strong West Ham in the cup. A draw last time out against well regarded Preston means they are unbeaten in 4. Midfielder Stefen Scougall is missing but United have Allcock and Wallace available. Rochdale are picking up the odd result but are very hit and miss. Rochdale have a similar record to the home side but have played and lost and extra game. No injury problems for Dale.
Two sides with similar records go head to head here but Sheffield have had some eye catching results of late; wins over league leaders Peterboro and West Ham are impressive. They have a good coach in Clough and I expect them to move up the table.
