ASTON VILLA V WEST BROM : PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS 1x2

A Midlands derby encounter here, with two sides by no means in the safety zone as Aston Villa (6-6-10) play host to West Brom (4-10-8). Villa showed at Liverpool in a recent 2-2 draw what a decent side they are, regularly carving open a supposed big side. They should have had the game wrapped up in the first half hour, but instead let a two goal lead slip, and this is their achilles heel. Home form (2-2-7) is not good enough, as they often look more suited to playing away with their counter attacking style. West Brom (4-10-8) rescued a point in Pepe Mel first game in charge against Everton, but another point means they are the draw specialists in the Premier league. One away win all season (1-6-4) also needs improving upon, and Albion strike me as a team who will be right in the relegation mix come May. Agbonlahor looks like the biggest injury miss for Villa, as both sides otherwise look to have full squads to choose from.

Aston Villa at 2.60(8/5)Bet365 is my 1X2 fancy on this game. With Benteke back amongst the goals, scoring in his last two, it gives new life to the Villa goal threat. This could be crucial in a match of two sides closely positioned in the table. Wet Brom have also been hindered by the controversy surrounding Anelka, and this will not have helped them. My own thoughts are that Villa are a better side than West Brom anyway, and I would be closer to the 2.30 mark on a Villa triumph. I don’t expect the 2.60 to last much longer, so take advantage by getting on now.
