CHELSEA V FULHAM PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Chelsea are 4^th in the table with 25 points from 13 games, winning 7, drawing 4 and losing 2.  They average 1.77 goals per game and have conceded 1.0, for a total goal difference of +11.  Their recent form has been very poor with 3 draws and 2 losses in their last 5 games, with an aggregate score of 5-7.  Two of the 5 games finished with over 2.5 goals.

Fulham are 10^th in the table with 16 points from 13 games, winning 4, drawing 4 and losing 5.  They have averaged 1.92 goals per game but have also conceded 1.77 per game for a total goal difference of just +2.  Their recent form has also been poor with 3 draws and 2 losses in their last 5 games and an aggregate score of 9-12. 4 of the 5 games ended with over 2.5 goals.

TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Chelsea are coming into their 2^nd match under new manager Rafa Benitez who has been in the job for less than a week.  Their first game was a very boring 0-0 draw with Man City which was perfectly acceptable with so little time to work with the players.  They will feel they have to win this one though or the already unhappy fans will be unanimously against the appointment. 

Chelsea will still be without Lampard and Terry who are out long term and Dan Sturridge is not expected to regain fitness in time.  The contentious issue for Chelsea remains striker Fernando Torres, if rumours are to be believed the reason Roberto Di Matteo was sacked was due to dropping Torres for the Juventus game last week.  He took his place back at the weekend but again didn’t score and has just 4 goals in 13 starts this year. 

Fulham have struggled recently and their injury problems have not helped.  They are without Ruiz, Kacaniklic, Davies and Richardson still and will also be missing Hangeland who is suspeneded.  They’ve suffered back to back defeats with these players out and I expect the same to occur again here.

CHELSEA V FULHAM PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

Chelsea are strong favourites here in their second match under new manager Rafa Benitez.  With the fans already on Benitez back he will want to set a marker that he is the right appointment for the team and I expect Chelsea to be very motivated to get the result.
