CHELSEA V SUNDERLAND PREDICTIONS

Chelsea look to take back 3^rd place with a match against a struggling Sunderland side who need points to stay out of the relegation zone.

Chelsea are 4^th in the Premiership with 55 points from 30 matches.  This leaves them 2 points behind Tottenham but they have a game in hand so can retake 3^rd place if they win it.  They have Arsenal just 2 points behind them so any slip up could lead to Chelsea dropping out of the top 4 completely which would be a disaster for the club.

Sunderland have even bigger worries in 16^th place in the EPL with 31 points from 31 matches.  This leaves them just 1 point above the relegation zone and with their recent form of no wins in 8 matches, you have to fear for them. 

All the news around Sunderland this week has been off the pitch with manager Martin O’Neill being sacked in favour of Paolo Di Canio, a move which has caused a lot of negative media reports due to Di Canio’s old political views.  I think this one will blow over and his results on the park will do the talking for him.
