CRYSTAL PALACE - SUNDERLAND: PREDICTIONS

I really fear for Crystal Palace in the league this year, they could be adrift at the bottom soon unless they bring in some fresh faces before deadline day. Sunderland have problems of their own but should get 3 points here.

Crystal Palace have had a tough start to life in the top tier as everyone thought they would. Palace have lost both matches so far, 1-0 at home to Spurs and 2-1 away to Stoke. Two fairly difficult fixtures to be fair but there have been few signs of anything decent coming from Selhurst Park. Worryingly for The Eagles they were dumped out of Capital One cup by League One side Bristol City. Palace boss Ian Holloway made 11 changes and it was more of a tactical withdrawel I feel. Defenders Johnny Parr and Paddy McCarthy are out, while Yannick Bolasie is unable to play also. Winger Jerome Thomas has a slim chance of featuring but star forward Glen Murray faces many months on the sidelines.

Sunderland are having problems in the top flight and Paulo Di Canio is starting to realise the depth of his problems. With the original squad pulling against him and a few players mandatory suspended by the club it looks like the controversial Italian is in trouble.  Two games have garnered one point with a 1-1 draw at Southampton and a 1-0 home loss to Fulham. Both games were similar in setup as Sunderland played well in the 1^st two thirds but looked lightweight up front. Two games they should have more than one point from. Squad problems mount up for Sunderland, defenders Phil Bardsley and Wes Brown are out for sure and both would start. Star midfielder and chief attacking threat Stephane Sessegnon is out after a midweek arrest, while key anchor man Lee Cattermole is struggling to make the game. Some great news for Mackems though is return of star striker Steven Fletcher, a real goal machine and welcome back for Sunderland.

CRYSTAL PALACE - SUNDERLAND: BETTING TIPS     

I fail to see how Crystal Palace can be favourites to any team in Premier League. Even a troubled Sunderland side have more than enough to take the Eagles at their ground. The odds are too big and should be snapped up. Odds of 3.00 on Sunderland with bet365 is a huge price. Palace are not worthy of the league and could finish with a record low points score.
