Crystal Palace v Tottenham predictions

Crystal Palace is back in the Premier League after going through playoffs. What an opener they’ve been handed. AVB will take his excellent Tottenham Hotspurs on the one hour drive it is from White Hart Lane to Selhurst park.

Crystal Palace has brought in: Chamakh (Forward) who never was a hit at Arsenal, experienced attacking midfielder Thomas who got 402 EPL minutes for WBA last season. Fourty year old Kevin Phillips who is a real battler and light weight Elliot Grandin has both come from Blackpool. They’ve also added to their defense as Campana, a young central defender who didn’t get much game time for Sevilla last season has joined. Overall, to be honest; this doesn’t bode well.

Tottenham might keep Bale as Real Madrid is taking time on the €100M+ euro man. That would be very good news for the spurs fans if it remains like that come the end of the transfer window. It must be said though; Bale will sit out here as he is injured.

AVB has been a busy man himself so far shopping. Capoue (Defensive Midfielder), Soldado (Striker), Chadli (Attacking midfield), Paulinho (Defensive midfielder) are all massive additions to the squad. Central defender Caulker and attacking midfielder Dempsey has left the club. Livermore and Huddlestone has been sent out loan.

Jan Vertonghen is a fitness doubt for Hotspurs. He will have a late fitness test.

Crystal Palace – Tottenham betting tips

Giving spot on betting tips for the first round is always tricky, but I have followed all of preseason and silly season as well. These are my predictions!

Crystal Palace had some impressive cup games against Premiership opposition last season, and will really want to kick off in style in front of their fans. However, I think Tottenham will take the game to Crystal Palace and test them in every possible way. Last season Spurs looked a bit under par without Gareth Bale, but, with the new signings AVB has a lot more options. They should be far more robust this season.

Bet365 has 1.75 (3/4) for the away win. I think that is enough for a league title contender against an almost certain relegation candidate. My betting tip is Tottenham to win at 1.75 (3/4). Click here to take the bet with Bet365.
