MANCHESTER CITY – ARSENAL PREDICTION STATS
Manchester City has picked up 8 points from their 4 matches so far. They remain undefeated but will not be entirely happy with their performances. They have scored an impressive 9 goals in those 4 games but have conceded 6 and are yet to keep a clean sheet.
Arsenal also has 8 points from their first 4 matches but will be much happier with their progress. They have won their past two league games, 2-0 away to Liverpool and 6-1 at home to Southampton and have only conceded one goal over all 4 games.
TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY
City has no fresh injury worries and will be glad to have Sergio Aguero fit again for this match. He is probably not match fit enough to start but has trained for a few days now so should make an appearance at some point.
Arsenal are still without long term absentees Jack Wilshere and Bakari Sagna from their first 11 and various other squad members. They will be pleased with their options going forward though with Podolski and Gervinho both having 3 goals in their last 3 games.
City have been surprisingly poor in defence this season and it has coincided with them testing out 3 at the back for some games. This change may not be the cause but I feel it hasn’t helped as often players are caught out of position when the change in formation is brought in and it has led to the worst defensive record in the top half.
