A London derby opens up Game day 3 of the English Premier League and a very close game to call as West Ham host neighbours Fulham. Martin Jol has a had a busy couple of days and maybe wishes the transfer window had already closed.

West Ham are currently mired in rumour of the return of Harry Redknapp, sacking Allardyce after two games seem crazy but he is not a match for West Ham and he plays the anti-football their fans despise. This can hardly help the team. Further transfer speculation sees old boy Joe Cole linked. West Ham had a good opening match and were the better side in  1-0 win over Aston Villa. They followed this up with an abject performance in losing 3-0 away to Swansea. In a game littered with defensive mistakes and poor play West Ham offered nothing throughout the game. Fulham have had a massive couple of days with transfers possibly having a huge effect on them. Out goes Moussa Dembele and more than likely Clint Dempsey and in come Keiran Richardson and in a last minute coup Dimitar Berbatov. With a couple of days left and several million pounds still available Jol could yet still be active in the transfer market. Fulham must adapt their system as the players are not like for like transfers. Fulham gave a vibrant, attacking display in the 5-0 destruction of Norwich. Playing a 4-4-1-1 formation with Bryan Ruiz behind Milan Petric, and a strong, dynamic midfield marshalled by Mama Diarra. Fulham were solid defensively but were rarely troubled by a poor Norwich side.Fulham's next game so them go head to head with Man Utd at Old Trafford. They did trouble the home side on several occasions but they never seemed to really impose themselves and ended up losing 3-2.

Betting prediction - Huge uncertainty surrounds both clubs at the moment as key players come and go, especially at Fulham. Dembele will be a massive loss but two decent players arrive. With all the speculation and squad changes its better to leave Fulham alone for the time being and see how they get on in the next few matches.
