Everton underachieved last year and a poor start set them back. They started to get it together 2^nd half of season but ended up way below last year. A long Europa League run seemed to hinder them as a Thursday/Sunday week seen a lot of dropped league points at the weekend as they travelled Europe.  They have increased quality with Cleverley and Deulofeu decent additions. Distin and Alcaraz have left but neither will be missed. Defence loses Hibbert while Chelsea target Stones has a slight niggle but should be ok. Midfield sees McGeady, Besic, Pienaar and Gibson all out while Mirralles and Deulofeu should be ok. Although a lot of players out in the centre Everton do better players available in all areas. Watford return to the top flight after a few years out. They arrive with a plethora of foreign talent, but not enough to stay more than the one season in my opinion. They bring in 10 new faces from around the globe with Jurado, Motta, Holebas, Berghuis and Behrami amongst them. Ekstrand and Britos are out of the defence while Abdi and Jurado are slight knocks.

Everton are usually excellent at home and can be relied upon against most sides. Watford has some interesting signings and I can see goals galore whenever they play. I think they will be gelling as the games go by but this one is too soon. Everton easily here for me, -0.75 means we get paid on a 2 goal win. A 1 goal margin sees half a win and half stakes returned.
