FULHAM - ARSENAL PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Fulham included recent signing Darren Bent on opening day but the England international took no part. Another England fringe man in Scott Parker was recruited in midweek as Martin Jol adds a bit of steel to the Fulham middle. Bent is a quality striker but seems to have some problem as his lack of playing time at Villa and Lamberts eagerness to get rid prove. Fulham opened up the season with a 1-0 at Sunderland, it was a dour match in truth and Fulham seemed happy to sit back for the majority of the game. The goal was a simple header from a corner in one of Fulham’s rare attacks. New keeper Stekelenburg was forced off after collision and looks very doubtful. While midfield squad man Alex Kacanclic is also a doubt.

Arsenal atoned for an awful opening day loss to Aston Villa with a crushing win over Fenerbache in Turkey. In a packed stadium with an incredible atmosphere a young Arsenal side missing several key men were the dominant force. Wilshire and Ramsay in the middle were different class, totally dominating the ball and creating all that was good for Arsenal.  Starters Mikel Arteta and Oxlade-Chamberlain will sit out injured while central defensive pair Thomas Vermaelen and  Laurent Kocsielny will miss out too. Arsenal are very light at the middle of defence and this is a worry.

Fulham opened up in a very strange and subdued manner, taking all three points from Sunderland but hardly attacking and playing with minimal forward movement.  Arsenal were poor opening day but were superb in midweek. Slight worry for them as they had a tough task in Turkey and a long travel back.  However I take the 2.15 from PaddyPower which is too big Arsenal.  The class of the side is there and I expect them to triumph in the short trip across London.
