The odds on this game have been all over the place since release. They opened around 1.80 (4/5) but dropped as low as 1.60 (3/5) before moving back up and settling around 1.70 (7/10) – The reason here is a rake of injuries for Chelsea and Mourinho threatening to play a weakened eleven. Liverpool will not worry about Chelsea and will play their own game. Sitting top of the league with 80 points they only need 7 more from 3 games to make their 1^st league title since 1990. At home Liverpool have been amazing with 15 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss. Recent form has been superb with Liverpool unbeaten in 16 games with a winning streak of 11 straight games. Out for them here will be Jose Enrique, Henderson and Moses. Chelsea go into the game 5 points off Liverpool and more likely to be looking to Europe for success. A 0-0 draw in Madrid against Atletico means the midweek game becomes more important for Chelsea. Away form for them reads 8 wins, 4 draws and  5 losses. Recent form is mixed with 3 wins and 3 losses. Missing for Chelsea are Cech, Terry, Ramires, and Eto’o while the likes of Oscar and Schurrle likely to be rested.

I am going against the cuff here and against the statistics too.  I think  Mourinho will try and stifle the hell out of this Liverpool side and play to nick a 1-0 win. Liverpool too may be tempted to keep it tight and use this game as the draw they need to go with two wins (Palace & Newcastle) – It’s a tough one for sure but I think this could be a really cagey affair. The stats show last 10 games giving up 29 goals for an average of 2.90 goals per game but 5 of the 10 games have finished with both score no. Im taking that here as I can see a low scoring win to nil.
