TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Liverpool were looking good to push on into the top half last week, with an almost fully fit squad and a home match against Aston Villa they should win.  As has been Liverpool’s style over the past few years just when things are looking up they implode and lost 3-1 to a Villa side who were flirting with the relegation zone.  Now they need to start again back in the bottom half and further away from the top 4 finish they are aiming for.

Fulham have been very disappointing themselves over the past few months with just 1 win in their last 9 games.  A good start in the league kept them well clear of the relegation zone but if this run continues then it won’t be long until they find themselves in a battle.

This is a game where both teams really need a boost but one of them are going to have to come away disappointed.

Liverpool are big favourites here as the home side.  The betting market is still constantly pricing Liverpool up as a top 4 side despite their results showing otherwise.  This is a match they should really win but so was last week against Villa where they easily lost 3-1.
