Home form for Pool is exceptional with 14 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss with only Chelsea having better record. Recent for again is unrivalled with Liverpool unbeaten in 2014 in the league with 13 wins and 2 draws. Goals have been flowing at both ends with 46 goals scored and 17 conceded! Only missing man is longtermer Jose Enrique. Man City need to get a result here as if they lose Liverpool have it all in their own hands, even though City have games in hand. City are in 3^rd at moment with 71 points but do have 2 extra games over Reds and Chelsea. City away have been good with 8 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses. Recent form is good too with an unbeaten run of 7 games with 5 wins and 2 draws. Out for them here will be Nastasic.

One of the games of the season here and a very tough one for both teams. Liverpool have to approach it like a big European night and hope their fans are right behind them from the off.  City have the upper hand in playing personel but Liverpool have held their own all season. Indeed Pellegrini remarked at Christmas after the 2-1 win at Etihad that Liverpool were the best side hes faced.
