Man City host Stoke at Etihad in a crucial game in EPL. However for City they have the dual pressure of the upcoming UCL semi Final against Real Madrid so it’s a tough ask to juggle both. They face being caught by rivals United for the 4th spot and that’s simply not good enough. Man City are in 4th with 61 points and are just 2 above United but have far superior goal difference. At home they are showing 11 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats, no team has won more at home in the division. Recent league form shows 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss with 14 scored and 1 conceded. They are without Nasri here while they may choose to rest a few. They have Clichy, Sagna and Silva all fit but whether they start or not we cannot be sure. Stoke are forever cast as the party poopers but they have some real quality in their side. They are without Shakiri and Erik Pieters here though. They sit in 9th place with 47 points. Away form reads 6 wins, 5 draws and 6 losses. Recent run of form includes 1 win, 2 draws and 3 losses.
Man City will need to focus here but ultimately waste little in victory. With Real Madrid looming they cannot afford to run themselves into the ground here. I take City to box of the game 1st half and see it out.
