NEWCASTLE UNITED V CHELSEA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Newcastle are languishing in 15^th in the table just 4 points ahead of the relegation places.  They got their first win in a number of weeks in their midweek game at Aston Villa and will hope this is a turnaround in their fortunes.

Chelsea are still 3^rd in the league 4 points ahead of spurs, but 6 back of City.  They will be disappointed in losing a 2-0 lead at Reading in the last few minutes and only managing a draw.  This is their second such draw in 3 matches and the players and manager must stop switching off when ahead.

Newcastle has made a number of singings to strengthen the squad and it should be enough to see them save.  5 French players have all come in for a combined €23m.  The big news from the Chelsea camp is the return of Demba Ba to play against his former side since his €8.5m move a month ago.

Chelsea are favourites here away from home but are still missing a number of important players.  Hazard being suspended along with Mikel at the AFCON could leave them short in midfield but they have a big enough squad to cope.

I think there is some value on the draw here.  Newcastle will be buoyed by their first win in a number of weeks and their new signings will be looking to impress.
