Newcastle are in decent form but the manner of their victories does not impress me. They seem to sneak wins and are not playing good football either. Overall they are 8^th and just 5 points of Man Utd which is fair enough. Home form is good with 7 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses. Recently they have 3 wins and 3 losses with narrow 1-0 wins over Villa and Palace bumping up their form. Out for Toon will be key men Debuchy and Remy. Possible that another key defender Santon will sit out too. Everton continue to pick up wins and are plugging on gamely. They are in 6^th and just 8 points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. Away form has been their downfall with 4 wins, 6 draws and 4 losses. Recent form has seen 3 consecutive wins to take their form to 4 wins and 2 losses. The two defeats were to higher placed Spurs and Chelsea. Out for Everton here will be Pienaar with Jagielka rated 50-50.

Newcastle are not far off Everton in the table but of the two teams Everton are the better bet here. Newcastle have won a few game of late but don’t convince at all. They are inferior to Everton in all departments for me. I take Everton to grab all three points at St James Park.
