QPR v West Bromwich (WBA) predictions
QPR is 1-3-2 in the Premiership overall in their last six. In their last six at home QPR is 1-3-2 as well, with a goal average of 2.67. QPR managed to score at least one in every game in the interval, but failed to keep a clean sheet in any of them.
West Bromwich (WBA) is 2-1-3 overall in their last six EPL matches, and 2-1-3 away from home. In their last six away Premier League away games the goal average was 3.33. In this interval WBA didn’t get any clean sheets. West Bromwich did however score in five out of six.
Team News and Run of Play
QPR boss Harry Redknapp has openly criticized his group of players. Too much pay and too little effort has been his mantra. Who can blame him? The QPR owners have invested a ton of money in the squad, but the results have been poor. QPR has several name players missing through injuries. Keeper César is out. So is full back Boswinga (who got a hefty fine for not wanting to sit on the bench recently). Former United great Park is also missing. Zamora is out too. Bit and parts players Dyer and Johnson are out as well. WBA will have the fantastic Mulumbu back in the middle of the park. Reid and Yacob could be in for contention, but are likely to be out still.
This fixture ended 1-1 last year in an evenly played game. The reverse fixture this season ended 3-2 to West Bromwich. WBA was the best side over 90 minutes by far, but nearly gave away a draw. QPR will be much more organized under Harry Redknapp, and already the side is showing more fight and composure. After his first game (losing 3-1 at Old Trafford) he took QPR on a unbeaten four game run before his side lost deservedly 1-0 to Newcastle on the 22nd. West Bromwich seems to have gotten back to form after losing three on the trot between the 28.11 and 8.12. One draw and, a deserved, recent win at home against in-form Norwich are respectable results.
QPR v West Bromwich (WBA) predictions for 1x2
At the minute I have no hesitation saying WBA is the better side. WBA plays good football, and at the same time they have plenty of physical presence. Youngster Lukaku and CM Mulumbu amongst others are no easy feat to control. Harry Redknapp will be looking for a reaction in his player group, and if one man can get it, he can. This should be a fairly even contest, where the sides will both have approximately the same amount of possession. I call this a draw.
Betsson offers 3.40, and with the Risk Free Bet of €100 available that for me is a really good proposition. 3.40 work out to about a 29.4% chance. I do definitely think the chance for a draw here is higher so the value at least to me is obvious. If you want to take this value bet, just click here:

QPR v West Bromwich (WBA) predictions for Asian Handicap
Even if Redknapp is a great manager and QPR is an improved side I think Clarke’s WBA deserves the nod here. Especially up front I think WBA is really good with Shane Long, Romelu Lukaku and Peter Odemwingie compared to QPR’s Mackie, Hoilett and Cisse. My pick is West Bromwich, draw no bet. If you agree with my reasoning and predictions:
Pinnacle Sports offer this bet at 2.51
QPR v West Bromwich (WBA) predictions for Total Goals
The reverse fixture was going back and forth, in a relatively disorganized affair, but keep in mind Mark Hughes was in charge of QPR back then. I do not give that fixture much weight in this analysis.
The respective home/away games this season point towards an under game. One does have to say Redknapp’s influence has made QPR more compact and difficult to play against. That is an argument for the Under 2.5. In four December games so far WBA has played three Under 2.5 matches, but the most recent one against Norwich went over. Four games is not of much worth in statistics, but at least it indicates a current trend. I would give the under at least 55% (equals odds of 1.82 approximately). 188bet offers 1.97 (about 50.76% chance). In other words, if you agree with my analysis we are dealing with value.
