This is a real relegation 6 pointer between two sides in the relegation zone and a win is much needed by both sides.

Reading are 18^th in the table with 23 points from 26 games and are just 1 point off safety.  They have recently fell back into the relegation zone after a good run of 4 wins in 6 games had taken them clear.  A loss last time out at Stoke halted that strong run and they’ll hope to get back to winning ways quickly in this hugely important match.

Wigan are 19^th in the EPL with 21 points from 26 matches which leaves them 3 points off safety.  They have not won in 5 games but a win here could take them back to safety so things are not looking too dire yet.  Their injury list is a concern with Fyvie, Pollitt, Crusat and Ramis all missing.
