A very interesting tie at St Mary’s as Southampton host Chelsea. The hosts are in great form with 5 wins and 1 draw and not a single goal conceded! That despite facing West Ham, Arsenal and Man Utd amongst others. They are up to 6^th in the league and are just 7 points behind that last UCL place. Home form for them reads 7 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses. They are without Victor Wanyama, Jay Rodriguez and Florin Gardos. Chelsea  themselves are in superb league form with an unbeaten run of 10 games which runs all the way back to mid-December. That run includes 4 wins and 6 draws. Even though it’s a good run they are still conceding a fair few bad goals with 10 goals let in, in that spell. Away form for Chelsea sees 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats. As it stands they are 7 points behind the hosts. Zouma and Terry miss out so Ivanovic will continue as centre back. Falcao is not fit obviously and seems to have passed it on to Pato who still awaits his debut after arriving in worse shape than the Colombian.

Two sides in excellent form. Goals will be thin on the ground here. Saints are defending excellently and Koeman always likes to slow things down against the big guns. Chelsea will be out to win obviously but I feel they have shifted priorities now to UCL and the cup. Under 2.5 goals for me is a good bet but a shade on the short side around 1.70 or 7-10. Both teams score no is a valid bet here. In last 10 league matches for both sides there has been 7 from 10 occasions of both teams not scoring.
