Southampton v Crystal Palace predictions & betting tips
Southampton is 2-2-1 so far in the Premier League. In midweek they rested pretty much their entire best eleven so they should be fresh here. To make matters even more joyful; Coach Pochettino has a full squad to pick from. This Southampton side has looked really solid at the back. Further up on the pitch it hasn’t clicked as well yet, but they got player material to score plenty of goals. They’ll be licking their chops as Crystal Palace is a team that Southampton definitely thinks they can score a few against.
Crystal Palace is 1-0-4 so far in the Premiership. Coach Ian Holloway. The side has attempted to play good football, but they haven’t gotten the results. Perhaps they’ve been a tad naïve. Here central defender Damien Delaney is expected to sit out. Fellow Defender, right back Joel Ward is likely to be back after sitting out two games. Striker Glenn Murray (30 goals in 43 Championship matches last season) is nearing match fitness. So is Left Back Jonathan Parr and winger Yannick Bolasie, neither of them has started a game this season. I think it is too early for them here anyway! Jason Puncheon is unavailable due to his loan agreement. Kagisho Dikgacoi is available for selection again after returning from suspension.

For a side that plays very offensive football Crystal Palace hasn’t been very good in the final third. Four goals in five games will simply not cut it with that style. Especially when they haven’t looked tight at the back! Southampton has been brilliant in their defending, and they’ve created quite a bit of chances without making nearly enough of them count. I do however think they have enough in them to continue their fine trend here.
