SOUTHAMPTON V LIVERPOOL PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Southampton are right back into the relegation fight after 2 defeats and a draw in their last 3 matches.  They lost one of the most important games of their season at home to QPR and can only have themselves to blame for getting dragged back into the fight.  They are currently in 16^th place just 4 points ahead of the drop zone but have back to back matches against Liverpool and Chelsea where it’ll be very difficult to pick up points.  They’ll have to look back to last month’s excellent 3-1 win over Manchester City at home and look to match that performance.

Liverpool are up to 6^th place in the table after a win over Spurs last week.  They have won 4 straight in all competitions and the fans are optimistic they’ll sneak into a Champions League spot come the end of the season.  They must keep this strong run going though and not drop points in a game they are expected to win which they have done at many points in the season.  On current form they should have enough quality to win the game.

Liverpool expect Pepe Reina to be fit again after he missed last week’s match but Borini and Kelly will still be out for the near future.  Steven Davis is struggling with an illness for the Saints and is likely to miss out.
