STOKE CITY V WBA PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS

Stoke have struggled recently in the league and have won only once in their last 10 matches.  The fans are beginning to get restless and they are not happy with manager Tony Pulis, although he seems to still enjoy the support of the board.  They are in no threat in the league after a strong first half to the year and sit in 11^th place with 33 points from 29 matches which has them 9 points clear of relegation.  They will want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible before they slip further down the table.

WBA have had an excellent season and are in 8^th in the table with 43 points from 8 matches and look guaranteed a top half finish.  They have won 3 of their last 4 league matches after a poor run of form and are back on track with their sights set on Everton and Liverpool just 2 points ahead of them.  Their victory last week against Swansea was a tad lucky thanks to a late disallowed goal for Swansea which should have been given but they will still be happy with the performance and the fight back from a goal down.

WBA expect Shane Long to be fit for this game but will still be without Reid, Thorne and Gera.  Stoke meanwhile still have Robert Huth suspended and he is a big miss to their defence.

Stoke are generally very strong at home but in this recent run they are struggling everywhere.  They don’t have injuries to blame their run on so the blame lies with manager Tony Pulis and results will need to improve quickly or his job will be on the line.
