Stoke is 2-1-2 in the Premier League. In midweek several fringe players participated in the 2-0 win away to Tranmere in the League Cup. Stoke should in other words be fresh for this Barclays Premier League tie. They have no new injury worries at the time of writing. Charlie Adam is not likely to play though. Since and including 2012 this fixture has been played twice. Stoke has won both ties 1-0!
Norwich is 1-1-3 in the Premier League. They came from behind to win in extra time against Watford, much thanks to Gary Hooper who finally could play a competitive game for the Canaries from start. He scored two goals here, and Coach Hughton was obviously delighted. His expected strike partner Ricky van Wolfsvinkel is likely out here though. So is Sebastien Bassong (Defender) and Elliot Bennet (Defender).

I think both sides are improved on last season, but Norwich probably hasn’t really gelled yet as a team. Stoke on the other hand looks to have found better balance in their play.
