TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

Sunderland have really struggled lately and could surprise many people by being sucked into a relegation battle this season.  They have struggled to score goals this year with just 13 in the league only Steven Fletcher has more than 2 goals for them.  Fletcher is struggling with injury and is unlikely to make it for this game which would be a huge blow for them.  He’ll be joined on the sidelines by Lee Cattermole, John O’Shea and Wes Brown who would all be first team starters if fit.

Chelsea are going through one of their worst runs in recent memory and things haven’t improved since their change of manager, with Rafa Benitez yet to win in the league since he came in.  A midweek thrashing of Nordsjaelland in the Champions League may give the team some confidence but there are still many questions about the side and the manager.

 

SUNDERLAND V CHELSEA PREDICTIONS: 1X2 BETTING PREVIEW

Chelsea are favourites here despite being the away side and they definitely have the quality advantage over Sunderland.  If Fletcher does miss out for Sunderland then they lose their only real goal scoring threat and I can’t see it ending well for them.
