Sunderland v Newcastle: 1x2 predictions & betting tip
This is normally a tough local derby. However, this season I see Newcastle far superior. The question is just if they can get all their foreign (French mostly) players ready for derby action. They learned the hard way last season as Sunderland won 3-0 at St. Jamse’s and got 1-1 at home. Against Liverpool I think the French players put in a good shift, and if they can do the same here I just can’t see how a very weak Sunderland side can get anything out of the game on spirit alone.
Coloccini could very well return for Newcastle. Yanga-Mbiwa is suspended (both central defenders). Taylor (yet another central defender) is still out for some time. Sunderland will still be without versatile defender Brown, but influential striker Fletcher returned against Swansea.
