Swansea v Liverpool predictions & betting tips

Swansea lost 1-4 at home against Manchester United in their Premier League opener, then 1-0 away to Spurs before winning 2-0 away against WBA. They’ve probably hoped for one or two points more, but in all fairness this is an opening as expected from the Welsh. Here fullback Taylor will miss, but Shelvey and Dyer could be back.

Liverpool has opened with three one nil wins. Last match day they beat Manchester United at Anfield, so they’ll be heading for Wales with a lot of confidence. Star man Daniel Sturridge is likely to feature after an injury scare. Joe Allen and Kolo Toure are both likely to be available for selection too. Glen Johnson and Aly Cissokho will both sit out. Luis Suarez is still suspended. Liverpool will most likely play Kelly or Wisdom on the right back. In the middle Skrtl might get another chance as he was outstanding against United.

Swansea v Liverpool betting tips

Last season it ended 0-0 in a game where both sides produced plenty of chances. Liverpool was probably best over the entire 90 minutes, but a draw was probably OK. Since this game both sides have strengthened on paper. Liverpool the most though! Liverpool also seems to have a new found cynicism previously not seen in a Brendan Rodgers side. They have learned to soak up pressure, and do not try to have possession advantage at all cost, all the time. To me that is a massive improvement.

My betting tip will be both teams to score at 1.80 (4/5) with Bet365. We all know Liverpool has a vivid, dynamic offense that will create chances. Swansea will definitely create chances here too, and with top drawer players such as Michu, Hernandez and Bony on the pitch a Swansea goal is likely to happen.

I also like the Liverpool, draw no bet odds of 1.57 (4/7) with Bet365 as things stand now. I think they have improved a lot on last year, and the good start so far this season must have given them confidence. If the game ends up being played anything like last season I think Liverpool now has the player material to outscore the home side.

Once the team sheets are out, and it is confirmed that Daniel Sturridge will participate I would also suggest you pile on Liverpool at 2.20 (6/5) with Bet365. Until that is confimed I do not like the 1x2 odds.
