Tottenham (9-4-5) have been poor at home, winning just three of nine, and the 5-0 drubbing to Liverpool still fresh in the memory. Despite this they are still only five points from fourth spot, thanks mainly to good away form. New manager Sherwood is unbeaten in two league games, and this offers a real chance to impress at home against a team they have lost at home to only twice in thirty eight meetings. Stoke (5-6-7) hover around the half way mark in the table, but away form is not good with just one win, and two draws in nine road trips. The latest 5-1 reversal at Newcastle can be forgiven somewhat after they were reduced to nine men, but injury to excellent keeper Begovic is going to prove a massive loss to the Potters until he returns. Also out for Stoke here are the suspended pair Wilson(def) and Whelan(mid). Spurs are without suspended Walker(def), and injured Vertonghen(def), Kaboul(def), Sandro and Townsend(mid). Doubts also for Defoe(str), Dembele and Lennon(mid).
