Tottenham v Swansea predictions & betting tips
Tottenham looked average against Crystal Palace in their Premier League season opener. New boys Soldado, Chadli and Paulinho started and Capoue came on as a sub. At the very least my betting tip was a winner as I picked Spurs to win, priced at 1.75 (3/4). I hope I made you some good money there.
It looks like Bale now is on his way to Real Madrid, but the highly skilled footballers Willian and Lamela are both heavily linked with the White Hart Lane outfit.
Swansea lost 4-1 at home against Manchester United in their Premiership match last weekend. I got that match all wrong betting wise. Swansea created quite a bit to be honest, but United always looked the likely winner as they were better when it counted, in front of both goals. New boys Canas and Shelvey (midfielders) started. The only Swansea goal in the game came from another new boy who came on as a sub, Wilfried Bony. He is likely to start here to bolster the attack.
Swansea has doubt over Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzman here.
Run of Play
Swansea hasn’t won this fixture since they came up in the Premier League again. Spurs has won three, and one has ended a draw. Last season Spurs won both home and away. In the home game Spurs were totally dominant when it came to creating chances. They fired 16 shots on goal versus Swansea’s 0. Also, just to have it said; Bale was sitting out that game for Spurs.
Swansea plays very possession oriented and loses possession rarely. Spurs is one of the high energy teams that can push Swansea back on the pitch, press them to make mistakes and take on a great deal of possession too.
Swansea will most likely go back to basics and defend here, then build from that. This will allow the Spurs to take the game to them.

This season Tottenham has a much better squad than last season. We saw how the Spurs side collapsed when Bale sat out time and time again. I seriously doubt that will be the case in the 2013/2014 edition of the Premiership.
