Watford has performed quite well against both Everton and WBA, but perhaps not been effective enough. Today they are getting a new chance against Southampton. The players Britos, Arlauskis and Diamanti (all new signings) are available. If they all will start is doubtful, but Diamanti seems the closest one to the starting XI. Watford is not reporting any new injuries.

Southampton has played 2-2 against NUFC and 0-3 against Everton so far this season. From this we can deduct that they are struggling a bit in defence. Koeman fielded a decent team at home to the Danish side Midtjylland in the midweek Europa League qualification match, but only managed a 1-1 draw. They will play the second leg of that match next midweek, but we believe Koeman will prioritize the league.

Jay Rodriguez seems to improve, and he will make the Southampton offence even stronger. Steven Caulker is also available again, and an option for Koeman if he is looking to make some changes in defence. However, the defensive Clasie, plus Forster (goalie) and Bertrand are not available yet.

Southampton is the better team and should end higher in the league table come next May. But in this match they will have to fight hard, and Watford is no easy opponent. When you consider that Southampton is struggling a bit in defence, it is possible that Watford will go out attacking.
