TEAM NEWS AND RUN OF PLAY

WBA were the surprise team of the season and were fighting for a top 4 spot until around a month ago where they seem to have fallen away.  They have lost 3 of their last 4 games and haven’t scored in their last 3. They have an extra struggle for this game with one of their most important players, Youssouf Mulumbu suspended. 

Norwich are in some amazing form and have not lost in the EPL for 2 months, spanning 10 matches.  They do have a tough run of fixtures ahead with Chelsea and Man City visiting Carrow Road back to back in a 3 day period after Christmas.  They’ve been really lucky with injuries through this run with only first choice goalkeeper John Ruddy a noticeable absentee.  I don’t think even the most optimistic of Norwich fans would have thought they’d only be 4 points off a Champions League spot at this stage of the season.

This is a tough game to handicap I feel.  WBA are usually great at home but have dropped points in back to back games at The Hawthorns and their general play has been terrible.  That added to Norwich’s excellent run makes it hard to find the correct odds.

I think the Draw is the play here, I think both teams will be aiming not to lose this one rather than going allout for the win.
