West Bromwich v Sunderland predictions & betting tips

West Bromwich scored towards the end to make it 1-1 in West London last match day in the Premier League against Fulham. So far in the EPL they haven’t one, and are 0-2-2. Keeper Ben Foster is still out, so is the talented young striker Vydra, and fringe players Gera, Thorne and Reid. To be honest, I do not rate this edition of WBA highly. So far Steve Clarke’s men have not looked like a Premier League side to me.

Sunderland has struggled in the season opening. They are bottom of the Premier League table with 0-1-3 so far. Their only point came away to Southampton. They’ve lost to Crystal Palace, Fulham and Arsenal. In the game against Arsenal I think Sunderland played very well at times though, and Coach Di Canio will try to build on those moments. Left back Dossena will have to wait for his debut as he is out injured. The talented young striker Wickham is out. John O’Shea (Defender) is also out. Bardsley and Brown havet played yet this season, and they are still missing.

WBA v Sunderland betting tips

Last season WBA won after two Lukaku goals against Sessegnon’s only. Neither of those players are with these clubs any more. To me WBA is the most weakened. They’ve brought in ageing Anelka though, but in all honesty. He is way over the top.

This looks like a very tough battle. WBA is perhaps the more physical; Sunderland has more of a passing style, and in my opinion the better player material. However, this game looks set to be a thriller.

I saw enough from Sunderland against Arsenal to think they are about to find their feet. WBA is tough to beat though, and Steve Clarke is a tough manager to get much overlay on. Therfore my betting tip here is Sunderland draw no bet priced at 2.75 (7/4) with Bet365. The 1x2 I stay away from!

I also think both to score at 1.80 (4/5) looks good. Even if I prefer Sunderland here, they have looked pretty shaky at the back at times. In an away game like this WBA will get chances, and all though they aren’t the best side in the league they have enough to score.
