WEST HAM UNITED V WIGAN PREDICTIONS

West Ham are looking good to push into the top half while Wigan need to start gaining points if they want to avoid relegation.

West Ham are 11^th in the table with 39 points from 33 matches which has them 8 points clear of the relegation zone and just 1 point away from a top half spot.  They have come off a run of 4 tough games undefeated with daws at Liverpool and at home to Manchester United.  They have a few winnable games in their run in so you would think they have a good chance of a top half finish, a great result for a newly promoted team.

Wigan are again leaving it late if they want to escape from the relegation zone.  They are 18^th with 31 points from 32 matches which leaves them 3 points behind a group of teams ahead and with a game in hand over them.  Wigan have some tough games ahead so it’ll be a very close fight to see who survives and who goes down.

West Ham will be missing Joe Cole and McCartney but will expect Tomkins to be fit.  Wigan will be without Miyaichi, Pollitt, Ramis, Watson and Crusat.
