PLABENNEC V LILLE PREDICTIONS AND PREVIEW: BETTING STATS AND FACTS
Plabennec is a CFA team (4th division). In the previous round they already had to play against a Ligue 1 team. They beat Brest 1-0 which is a nice achievement even though Brest are doing very poorly this season (17th of Ligue 1 and they haven’t one of their last 14 games).
Lille are having a difficult season compared to their standard. They have been one of the top 3 teams for several years in a row, but a new cycle is starting. Some major players left in the last couple years such as Landreau, Cabaye, Debuchy and Hazard. The fans are starting to show their discontentment regarding this policy.

Rio Mavuba, Lille’s captain, will be missing this game because of an injury. Franck Beria is also injured and they have to players currently playing the African Cup of Nations (Kalou and Mendes). The good news is that their striker Tulio de Melo is back in the group after a two-month injury.
On the paper, there is no doubt that Lille is supposed to go through without too much problem, but Plabennec’s players have nothing to lose and are preparing to play the game of their life. Lille is obviously the most reasonable choice here, but I don’t like their 1.33 odd knowing they will be playing away and in a cup game. I would give a try to the draw at 5 with Unibet.
